Upgrading the N47 Crankshaft – Is It Worth It?
I’m working on a mild performance build with my N47-powered BMW and am wondering if anyone has experience with bmw n47 crankshaft. I’ve seen aftermarket forged options being discussed in some tuning circles. Is it worth upgrading the crankshaft for better strength and durability, or is it overkill unless you're chasing serious power? I’d like to future-proof the engine and maybe run a mild remap. Would love to hear from anyone who’s done an upgrade or reinforced the bottom end.
